EcoSafe explores the activity of oregonin, a natural pesticide found in red alder

Carmen Lea and Stephen Bradbury have published a new manuscript in collaboration  Dr. C. Peter Constabel from the department of forest biology at the University of Victoria. Our research explored the activity of oregonin, a natural product found in red alder, as a candidate natural pesticide. Using methods developed at EcoSafe, the compound was tested for efficacy against a variety of common Lepidopteran insects.
